MIAMI – August 21, 2019 – North American Title Insurance Co. (NATIC) has added Tara Begg as the state agency manager for Ohio and Northeast Kentucky. Begg brings nearly 20 years of experience in various roles with title agencies, banks, underwriters and search examination companies.
“Tara’s knowledge from all sides of the settlement industry make her a unique asset to title agents. She holds a deep understanding of all the ways agents function in the real estate industry today and can demonstrate ways to enhance operations to prepare agents for tomorrow’s market,” said Michael Holden, vice president and strategic agency manager. “In addition, her wealth of knowledge in the Ohio territory is beneficial as she moves to grow our agents in that state, including the Cincinnati area and into Northeast Kentucky.”
Begg began her career as an escrow officer and title examiner at an Ohio title company, managing office operations for a 12-county area. She spent five years as an escrow officer in the community banking industry in Cleveland and managed closing and operations teams for five years at national and regional banks, including PNC Bank and Wells Fargo. She also served as a commercial escrow officer with a national title insurance underwriter, where she closed leasehold, purchase and refinance transactions for commercial clients and assisted with the clearing of titles.
Previously, Begg served as an account manager for ASK Services, assisting clients with software integration implementation and providing training. She received her Bachelor of Arts degree in business communications from Baldwin-Wallace University.
“Working at title companies and in the banking world gave me considerable insight into understanding the pressures and challenges that title companies experience. I’m happy to be in a role now where I can share those insights in a way that impacts growth for title agents,” Begg said. “I am also thrilled to accept this position with NATIC. In my past dealings with NATIC team members, I’ve always been impressed with the professionalism and organization they bring to the table. They are a happy group, and it is clear they love their jobs, and that alone attracted me to be part of the team.”
Begg has a field office in Ohio. Her mailing address is 7550 Lucerne Drive, Suite 401, Middleburg Heights, Ohio 44130. She may be reached at (216) 347-6145 or tbegg@natic.com.
