MINNEAPOLIS, MINN. – July 24, 2018 – North American Title Insurance Co. (NATIC) has added John Mac Lean as state agency manager for Minnesota and Wisconsin. His responsibilities include overseeing agency operations throughout those two states, while securing and servicing title insurance agents to promote new and increased business activity.
“When you have combined experience in title agency and underwriting operations and blend it with a thorough understanding of the mortgage lending side, the result is someone who offers valuable insight at myriad touchpoints in a title agency’s operations. This is what John brings to our agents in Minnesota and Wisconsin,” said Rich Griffin, NATIC vice president and national sales manager. “In addition, we know John shares our passion for exceeding the normal agent/underwriter relationship to offer first-rate educational and business-building techniques for our agents in these booming markets.”
With 20 plus years’ experience in the industry, Mac Lean owned a title company in Roseville, Minnesota, and served as its chief operating officer for seven years. Most recently, he was agency sales representative for a national underwriter, where he managed more than 50 accounts. Before that, he worked as a loan document specialist for Wells Fargo Home Mortgage. He has also managed the underwriting and funding of mortgage products for a privately-owned residential mortgage company in Minnesota that specializes in FHA and USDA loans.
“NATIC was an easy choice for me. Being part of a growing company that allows me the opportunity to build new relationships and help agents reach their business potential is what attracted me to the position,” said Mac Lean. “Having owned my own title company, as well as working for other small companies, I understand the challenges our clients face and look forward to sharing my expertise with new and existing NATIC agents.”
Mac Lean operates from the NATIC field office at 1700 HWY 36 West, Suite 120, Roseville, MN 55113. He can be reached via telephone number (612) 469-7272 or email: jmaclean@natic.com.
