MIAMI – March 29, 2021 – North American Title Insurance Co. (NATIC) has added Andrea Alderman Keith as Northwest Regional underwriting counsel to provide underwriting guidance, support and education to title agents and affiliates in Washington, Oregon, Idaho, Montana and additional jurisdictions.
Alderman Keith brings several years of experience as an in-house attorney for a national title insurance company, where she cultivated relationships with mortgage lenders, escrow companies, real estate brokers and outside vendors. She previously worked as a regional title officer in the California market, where she specialized in servicing lenders’ foreclosure and REO needs, and as a foreclosure litigator for a Florida-based law firm.
“Andrea’s strong customer communication skills, training talents and thoughtful but business-oriented underwriting approach makes her a valuable resource for our agents and affiliates in the Western state markets,” said Valerie Jahn-Grandin, NATIC’s executive vice president and chief underwriting counsel. “She also will prepare us for market shifts with her substantial experience in REO and foreclosure matters.”
Alderman Keith’s experience in refining closing processes by developing relationships with key outside parties complements the mission of the NATIC underwriting team and the larger corporation, Doma, to streamline the title insurance and settlement service industries.
“I’ve been both a buyer and a seller in real estate transactions, and I understand the frustrations of the traditional closing process,” Alderman Keith said. “Having worked for many years as an in-house attorney for a national title company, I know what kind of support agents are looking for in order to provide both timely and quality service to their customers. As a Washington resident, I am excited to serve the Northwest Region and work for a company that has the underwriting expertise of NATIC and the innovation of Doma under one roof.”
Alderman Keith earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Sociology from Florida State University and her Juris Doctor from Stetson University College of Law. She is a Washington licensed attorney and a member of the Washington Land Title Association and the King County Bar Association. Agent email inquiries should be directed to Alderman Keith via her main state underwriting email:
