How “cyber strong” are you and your agency? Find out if you are prepared to combat the ever-growing threat of cyberattacks and stop cyber fraud in its tracks at North American Title Insurance Company’s Cyber Strong: A Cybersecurity Lunch-n-Learn for Florida title and attorney agents. This CE/CLE* seminar will educate NATIC agents, affiliates and approved attorneys on the most common cyberattack vectors, with special attention given to attacks that are currently targeting real estate transactions. The seminar will:
  • Offer solutions for reducing your vulnerabilities to cyberattacks;
  • Review legislation and regulations aimed at protecting the financial services industry and consumers; and
  • Share a unique NATIC program that rewards proactive agents who detect, prevent and report fraud and forgery attempts during title examinations, escrows and closings.

Matthew Froning is the founder and CEO of Security Assurance Facilitation Experts LLC (SAFE), which helps clients to establish a focused security program through vulnerability, social-engineering and regulatory-compliance assessments; penetration, web-application and mobile-device testing; IT-control, audit-log and third-party vendor management reviews; information-security training; incident response-plan development; and more. Matt began his 20-year career in the information security industry as an active-duty member of the U.S. Air Force and a federal contractor, where he directed the investigation of computer-related criminal, counterintelligence, counterespionage, fraud and undercover matters. He also conducted vulnerability assessments for several Fortune 500 corporations. A frequent speaker at industry conferences, Matt developed the American Land Title Association (ALTA) Best Practices Pillar 3 information-security assessment process, which outlines ALTA’s compliance requirements and the shortfalls an organization must remediate in order to become compliant. Matt has led the execution of more than 600 security assessments, including more than 200 ALTA Best Practice assessments for title and settlement agents and attorneys.
